Based at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland), Dr. Vallicrosa is a terrestrial ecologist working on understanding the drivers of elemental composition and stoichiometry, and their ecological implications into a global change scenario. Her methodological approaches range from local scale to global scale through using both field experiments and computational science. Currently she focuses on quantifying the yearly nitrogen uptake by plants worldwide and on evaluating how this matches with carbon-cycle and vegetation models.
